Essence of Gomantak
We are a Konkani speaking community whose life revolved around temples in the past. We have several sub-groups including, Kalavant, Gayak, Devali, Farjand and Bande. Prominent members of our community include legendary singers Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle and beauty queens Namrata Shirodkar and her sister Shilpa.
